postheadericon A Message from the Heart~~

The biggest experiment in one's secondary school life,
had finally past.

Had to say it was very interesting,
despite the cruelty brought along the way.
I learnt a lot from it, and I'm sure everyone else did:
the anatomy of a frog, its live organs and their locations, many many more.

But besides learning where the organs are,
I also learnt that life is brief,
not just for the frogs,
but for every living, breathing being on this earth...

In the beginning, my hands were shivering as I held my scalpel,
preparing to delicately touch it on the frogs gentle first barrier.
How cruel it was, and how hard was it for me.
I suppose many others would've felt the same.

As i went on, layer by layer, cut by cut,
i thought that i had to finish it as fast as i could.
And only until the second i removed its heart,
i was relieved....
It was cruel enough for me, and I felt to end its misery in the briefest time.

But who would've guessed,
this little frog's heart went on, and on, and on.....
even until the last second i saw it,
it was still struggling endlessly,
pumping its way, tremendous and strong,
keeping to hope and keep on living, no matter what it takes.

And i truely have realized the strength,
of life.....

"Cherish what you still have in life,
make out the best of it,
and never give up until the end."
A message the frog sent me, through nothing... but the heart.

To the greatest amphibians,
Rest in Peace
JJ, over and out
