1. 3D composite test
trying out 3D compositing in After Effects...
Quite hard and takes a long long time to render, but I'm happy with the outcome XD

blowing up stuff had always been my dream... neh I'm just saying things~
well it always seemed like a realistic explosion is hard to pull off
so here I am giving it a try myself.
Also tried blowing up planets... all the shattered debris, shockwaves etc
was great fun, but took me the longest time so far loL

This is a pretty late post~
Well since the camp was a long long time ago...
wayyy back last tuesday loL~

Had to wake up damn early that day
coz its a 3 hour drive from home to UTP~
Actually my first destination was
Universiti Teknologi MARA UiTM~
Coz I was gonna spend the night in a hostel there...

During registration,
met a guy who was queuing behind me,
Wei Ling~
I didn't see him after registration then
Then I went to check in into my hostel~
Room A116~
Was the first guy in the room so i held the key,
5 minutes later another participant came in,
name's Amin~
then not long after that... Wei Ling came in!!!
Yes, the guy I met at the front door is now my roommate haha
Guess we were destined to meet then XD
So I ended up spending the rest of the camp
with him as my trusty partner hahas~
4 guys shared the room, the one other guy was Fitri,
which only showed up in the evening break loL~

We keep taking bus trips thru out the whole camp
since the campuses were big
and we had to travel back and forth between UTP and UiTM~
Since activities were mainly in UTP,
but our accomodation was at UiTM, so so...

I have to asy... UTP is like
one of the COOLEST places ever loL~

Schedule?
First day we had maths and science test...
loL its all SPM stuff but i dun rmb a thing...
so the test.... lalalalalala

2nd day
We had Potentia J assessment, somewhat like an interview
and also English Placement Tests
as well as Critcal Reasoning, both verbal and diagrammatical~

A new chapter in life~ i moved from Photoshop to After Effects...
Took me a whole day to finish my first video, which was only about 30 seconds long...
and I have to say it really sucks~
But its the process of learning that matters...
And although its tedious
it was a lot of fun XD

1st video: Firearms Literally
This was a random thing that came out... I actually just wanted to test out some explosion FX
And I ended up going too far my adding my stupid hand into it,
before adding in L4D2 sounds to kick it up~
Used a blue towel as my transparency
(need to rethink that coz towels have super coarse textures)

2nd video: Muzzle Flash Test
Done this one yesterday, took me the whole day~
Just wanted to test my newly adopted skills in After Effects
and go for realistic gun effects...
I have a couple of future video ideas that need guns
so I had to make sure i know how to make fake guns come alive~
I used footage from an airsoft bb gun review
turned the bb into a real submachine gun...
or so i tried by best loL~

Whether my videos turn out nice

2nd driving lesson today~
Got to drive the tiny Perodua Viva from Sg Long to Broga~
I made it a damn long journey since my average speed was abt 55km/h...
zzzzzz I can tell my instructor (i just call him uncle) was bored to death...
but well I guess he's used to it~

Reached the institution (finally)....
Uncle taught me of all the stuff i nid to noe~
quite simple really~ naik bukit, parallel parking, 3 pt turn~
just need more practice...
well I still have more than 7 hrs to go so what the heck XD

but i was quite excited... sweating lol~ (plus i had to keep the window open... so it was damn hot!)

After going a few rounds and getting the hang of it...
Uncle took me to test-drive jalan B for the on-the-road test~
nothing much, just a small straight road not much traffic at all...

It was the road home that was rather... scary~
well its because... A Reckless lorry driver almost killed me!!!
I was at a left lane and suddenly this stupid lorry from the right changed lanes to the left...
Worse thing is my bumper was merely inches away from the lorry's butt
and if i hadnt hit the brakes we would've hit~ ><
i even panicked and forgot to let go the brakes... car stopped... engine died~
Uncle gave me a good scolding too... coz yea well i noe that if i suddenly stop...
I'll be exposing my six to a good knocking by the cars behind if they cant stop in time~
so why did i stop the car?... I PANICKED thats why....
stupid lorry driver~ watch out or u might really get somebody killed next time ><

Rest of the journey was on the highway so no problem~
Nxt lesson'll be nxt week~
I'll be really cautious on lorries and other massive vehicles by then XD

Wednesday's news
Yaohan planned an outing to MidValley sempena the inauguration of our new YDP~
8 ppl~ Yaohan, Mingren, Tzeyang, Shinyi, Dejing, Weini, Yuanjune & of course me.

Took the U40 bus with Yaohan from Sg Long to Serdang, then KTM straight to Midvalley.
Thanks to our wonderful planning and timing, we got on the same train as Mingren XD

Got there~ Only Ming, Yaohan and me were there at the moment.
Went straight to GSC to snatch us some titanic tickets....
would've got some if they haven't SOLD OUT the day before zzzzzzz
Jack Neo's We Not Naughty.... also SOLD OUT~
LOL~ Settled for Hunger Games in the end...

Then went to 鼎泰丰 for BREAKFAST??? lol~
That place really blows holes in wallets~
we only ordered 8 pcs 小笼包, 2 fried rice, 1 yam pudding thingy, 普洱菊花,
guess what? It cost RM74!!! walao... @@
well... u cant blame'em... the service there is so 周到, it makes u feel uncomfortable LOL
shoutout: Sorry Shinyi for eating ur dumpling, but u were really late and we really had to leave!!! ><

RedBox for 3 hours~
Then played pool beside GSC to pass the time before the movie~
First time i played pool with schoolmates have to say...
Long time no play so i really damn sucked~ ><
Some also first timers so i guess they really had fun ^^

The Hunger Games~ not bad actually, but its damn long i have to say!
4.30 to abt 7pm~ damn we had to go home real late haha~

Really had fun that day~ KTM home, mum fetched~ end of story

今年的春节，
虽与往年的不太一样，
但我还是过的非常开心，
也相信今年肯定比去年好。XD

所谓与往年不同，
就在于今年的团圆饭，
还不大算是很“团圆”, lol
但一点都不失气氛哦！

不知为何，今年乡卿们都特别大胆。
年初一来临的那一瞬间，
我在三姨家，四面八方顿时都被簇簇烟火包围，
似乎燃烧了整片天空，
多得转目都来不及，
让正投入摄影的我疯狂地spam我的相机快门....

而炮竹呢，则无处不放，
连绵不断的炮声更是扬出百里外，
让新年气氛塞满了整个实兆远市镇。
除此，孔明灯也不例外，
算起来真不少，
甚至可比天上的星星来得多。<<<(夸张手法的好例子^^)

除了客厅之外，
我认为厨房墙上也应该贴多个“福”倒，
因为里头真真实实装满了福，口福！
虽然今年厨房内少了几个头号厨师，
但是这一点都没有影响过菜肴“素质”，
我相信家里大伙儿这几日都不像在吃饭，
而像是富贵皇家在用膳。

Form 5 now,
which means this is my last secondary school year,
which also means my last participation in the annual cross-country roadrun....

For I haven't bothered to even walk in the previous years,
I planned to make the best of my last run.
Of course a geek like me could never win,
but I guess squeezing into the 50th spot was worth a try^^

Things started off real well,
maintaing a steady run alongside Zi Xuan almost halfway through....
Up until the end,
when there was about 500 metres left,
an approximately 5-minute run,
became a 15-minute walk for me....

I guess I need to start working out now and then,
and lose a few pounds,
because it seems that my right ankle couldn't support my weight,
the mass-gravitational straining issued onto the jointing of my foot's upper side.
It hurt real bad.... T.T

I ended up dragging my right foot back to the school.
Was pretty disappointed.....
What suprised me was that I'd still get 103th,
which was actually of minor significance as it adds 1 point to the Red house.

At least all that dragging wasn't for nothing LOL~~

Well I guess not everyday is a happy day,
but at least i enjoyed lunch at Ice Room,
mostly because its free^^
Its Pn. Yap's treat for all the senior photographers, (Thx Pn Yap XD)
after a job well done for the class and club photo sessions! ^^

As we all indulged in the delicious, free food,
feeling the flavored ice melting under our cheeks....
At the same time chit-chatting,
about some crazy nonsense XD

Hohoho, then Santik taught me the trick of a lifetime,
that is how to turn a dumb 18-55mm kit lens into a super macro,
=D fun fun fun~~
got a great picture of a spider, which goes straight into my portfolio^^

Today is full of ups and downs,
figuratively (all the troubles i've faced, along with the fun i had)
and literally (the hills we've all run through is truly full of ups and downs^^)
All in all, I had a meaningful day :D

This tale goes about  3 weeks back when I relived the 1st ever Harry Potter movie once again on HBO. Then I realized that Harry Potter resembles some people i know... lightbulb! I have an idea~~ XD

Good to be back,
Good to see my friends again,
Good to have to climb up and down 6 storeys for another year,
Good to get the boring-est timetable ever,
Good to have Pn Ean as form teacher,
Good to have the same teachers teachingas well,
Good to be monitor for the 3rd consecutive year,
All in all, its great to be back to school...

The beginning of 2011... 
although this means its now 1 year away from 2012,  O-O
I still keep my hopes up, hoping to soar sky high throughout the year!
[As well as survive SPM! xD~]


Here as my 1st blog post for the ever wondrous new year,
I wish to everyone for it to be a happy, prosperous and wonderful 365 days!
Although i know not much people may see this post,
I still hope that this message can be sent to everyone's hearts,

29-12-2010 Wed
My sixteenth birthday.^^
Started out the day alone at home since everyone else is busy with their plans:
Dad at work, mum preps at school, sis Shanny band activity, and sis Amy went for movie with friends.
so i spent my birthday morning celebrating with computer games xD


Late afternoon at around 4pm....
Mum finally came back, and i finally had lunch, after spending all that time in front of the laptop....
She wanted to take me for a special treat, 
but i insisted on just a normal average lunch and leave the treats for the family dinner,
still she insisted as well and we ended up drinking my favourite ipoh white coffee at Oldtown^^

After that, i got the "pleasure" to help with some shopping, 
but for the record, this was the most boring moment of the day xP


Anyways, later we went home, got my dad, then out again to fetch both of my sisters...
Went to our favourite shoe shop in Balakong to get everyone some new shoes,
(meaning my b'day present is a pair of flip-flops xD)


Then we went to 三友酒家, Serdang for this annual b'day dinner.^^
Well, same as always i insisted on something simple, but in the end i still end up in fancy restaurants lol...
But surely we  all enjoyed it, delicious~


Then this is the fun part, for me...
I joking around and said, if it were not for this dinner, 
we could use the money to buy me a new tripod as a present wakaka~
and suprisingly my dad agreed that we could buy one! o.O
and i was like: "really???" @.@
hahas~ well it was late so that tripod would have to wait for the weekend i guess xD


After that we went home, and i got stuck with helping my mum again,
this time with school documents... lol~~
my dad on the other hand had to go to the hospital to check on my gramma,
hope she gets well soon~~


Then we ended our day as usual......... watching 三国 until late night wakaka~


In a nutshell, i really enjoyed this b'day, nice, simple, and relaxing as well^^
Thanks mum and dad for the treat, and thanks Shanny and Amy as well! love u guys xD
